How we look after your family’s data

Last updated 16 October 2026

My Homeschool is a private learning space for home-educating families. It is invite-only while we try it with a few families. This page explains, in plain words, what we keep, where it is kept, who can see it, and what you can ask us to do.

What we keep

Where it is kept

Your family’s data is kept by Supabase on servers in London, United Kingdom. The website itself is delivered by Cloudflare. Sign-up emails are sent through Supabase. These providers store and deliver the data for us; they do not use it for their own purposes.

Who can see it

We never sell your data, never show advertising and never use it to profile you or your children.

Children

Children use My Homeschool through an account their parent creates. As the parent, you decide what information about your child goes into it, and you give consent on your child’s behalf.

How long we keep it

We keep your family’s data while you use My Homeschool. Changes keep their history, so records stay trustworthy. Timings of slow or failed requests are deleted after 60 days. Our database backups are kept for 7 days. When you leave, we delete your family’s data on request (see below).

How we protect it

Connections are always encrypted. The database is locked so that only our own service can read or change it. Photos and voice answers are stored privately. Sign-in has limits on wrong tries, and important changes are recorded. An independent security review is planned before more families join.

What you can ask us

You can ask to see the data we hold about your family, to correct it, to receive a copy of it, or to have it deleted. Write to hello@myhomeschool.ai. If you are not happy with how we handled your data, you may also complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa).

Changes

If we change how we look after your data, we will update this page and tell you in the app.
